The Wages of Fear is one of many side missions that Kat can partake in Gravity Rush 2. It is available after completing both the side mission and episode Finding You and And the Soldier's Wife? respectively.

Story[]

Kat meets up with the reporter again, who has now gone freelance after being fired, and he wants her assistance in his latest scoop for a chance to make the front page. Knowing that Lei Elgona is under attack by Scarabs, he asks Kat to take some "dramatic" photographs of them as proof of the danger. She takes the pictures necessary and then eliminates the Scarabs afterwards.

Soon some Scarabs appear nearby, with the reporter opting to risk his life, for the first time, for a dramatic shot, but Kat decides to do it herself. Grateful for her help, the reporter leaves to get his story published, and Kat wishes him luck.

Walkthrough[]

Start by taking a picture of the quadruped Scarab. Afterwards, destroy its shell, take another picture and then eliminate it. After you talk to the reporter, you will then be tasked with taking a photo of two Mosui together. Be wary around these enemies, as they will attack when you are in one spot for too long.

Two more Mosui will then appear, and you will need a picture of all four of them in the same frame. Once you have the picture, eliminate them. When you talk to the reporter again, three more Scarabs will appear nearby. You will need to take a snapshot of Kat actually getting attacked by one of them, so go into tripod mode and snap a picture as Kat is struck. Finish the mission by defeating the remaining enemies.

Follow-Up[]

Ex-Reporter (Follow-Up)

Later, Kat meets the reporter again, wondering how the story went. He reveals that it got him on the front page and nominated for an award; however, he unfortunately did not receive it because another reporter captured and exposed his and Kat's staged event, with the other reporter receiving the award instead. Disappointed, Kat laments that things did not work out as hoped, and the ex-reporter apologizes for her wasted efforts.
