'''Talismans''' are special items in ''[[Gravity Rush 2]]'' obtained by either mining, defeating certain enemies, completing specific missions, completing online Treasure Hunts and events, or forging (unlocked later in the game). They serve to power up [[Kat|Kat's]] various abilities, and only up to three talismans, each bearing a maximum of three attributes, can be equipped from the main menu. Furthermore, talismans that have been favorited (selected with the ❏ button) will appear in the order they were favorited in the beginning rows of the list of talismans.

Talisman effects range from specializing Kat's combat to conditionally improving her performance. In mining, talismans appear as '''talisman stones''' after breaking gravity ore deposits, which are green stones of various sizes that can appear on the ground, walls, and ceilings in any mining location. The stones consist of three possible types and five possible grades, which are then converted to usable talismans upon revisiting the [[Mining Ship|Banga mining ship]] or [[Explorer's Mining boat|explorer's mining boat]] - either after a mining trip or after an excursion in the [[Delvool Trench Mine]].

The three types of stones that can be mined are Flower, Shell, and Seed. Flower stones are shaped like crescents, and are equipped in the top slot of the Talisman menu. They bear attributes useful to Lunar style. Shell stones are roughly spherical and are equipped in the middle slot of the Talisman menu. They bear attributes useful to Normal style. Lastly, Seed stones are triangular and are equipped in the bottom slot of the Talisman menu. They bear attributes useful to Jupiter style.

Furthermore, the six grades are Dull, Rough, Bright, Shiny, Radiant, and Brilliant - in increasing rarity - and the colors of the talismans mined also correspond to these grades. Dull stone talismans are blue, rough stone talismans are green, bright stone talismans are red, shiny stone talismans are bright orange, radiant stone talismans are whitey purple, and brilliant stone talismans are white.

After returning to Hekseville, Kat can visit [[Pandora's Fortunes]] to have non-premium talismans merged, morphed, or recycled.

Upon completing all 50 layers of the Delvool Trench Mine, Kat will have the option to visit it again via a gravity storm. However, only the challenges ("Defeat the enemy") on layers 10, 20, 26-30, and 46-50 will be replayable at this point. Completing them again will yield talismans with some of the nine Gift Fragment attributes. As these talismans can be merged, morphed, and recycled at Pandora's Fortunes, it is possible to equip all nine fragments at once. It should be noted that this will take several successful reattempts at the aforementioned layers of the Delvool Trench Mine, as item drops are random.

Equipping all nine Gift Fragment talisman attributes at once increases Kat's Stasis stock limit to nine objects, improves offensive and defensive capabilities, and halves consumption of the gravity gauge.
