Shifter's Choice is one of the many side missions that Kat can partake of in Gravity Rush 2. It is available after completing "And the Soldier's Wife?" in the main storyline.
Story[]
While in Lei Elgona, Kat hears a scream and goes to investigate. She discovers that Scarabs have invaded the town, and a group of them are about to attack a young boy and an older rich man, who then asks the boy to hold them off so he can escape, heavily implying he can handle it since Lei Elgona are use to Scarab attacks. Shocked at the man's morals, Kat defeats the Scarabs, saving them both. After seeing her prowess, the man ask her if she would like a job, which is to escort him to safety, and he tells her she would get payed greatly for it. The boy then asks for Kat's help regarding his vulnerable sister still being out there with the Scarabs. Faced with a decision whether to save the man, or boy's sister first, Kat decides to save the boy's sister first, stating to the man that kids come first. She then heads to the center island to locate the boy's sister. Kat finds her and brings her back to her brother, but because of the decision she made, the rich man threatens Kat by telling her she will regret that and pay. After he runs off, the kids go hide as an angered Kat goes to eliminate the remaining Scarabs.
Walkthrough[]
Once you take control of Kat, you will have to defeat a group of (four) Scarabs in the area.
Your next objective is the matter of a decision you will have to make: take the rich man to his airboat parked in Lei Colmosna, or save the young boy's sister on the center island. When you choose to save the boy's sister, she will be located on the side of the inclined house upon approaching the island. (Do note that you will not actually need to defeat the Scarab on the island; you can just find her and bring her back to her brother.) On the other-hand, if you choose to save the man first, you will simply just escort him to his airboat in Lei Colmosna, and then you will have to save the sister last. After the sister is saved and taken to her brother, first or last, your final objective will be to eliminate the remaining Scarabs in Lei Havina, which there are six of in addition to the Swarm.
