Lunar Style Race II is a challenge which Kat can partake in Gravity Rush 2.
It is unlocked and available to play once the player finishes Episode 17, Road to Lonely in the main story.
Overview[]
This challenge is a simple checkpoint race. It starts near the entrance to the Ropeway Station at the south end of Vendecentre, down the stairs opposite, over a fence to the park below, cutting through Freedom Square, and up the side of the Clock Tower. The twist to this challenge is that you are restricted to the Lunar Style.
The race is also very short, with only 10 checkpoints in length.
Targets & Rewards[]
Medal | Target Times | Rewards |
---|---|---|
Gold | 1:00:00 | 800 gems, "Metropolitan Blaze" talisman |
Silver | 1:20:00 | 400 gems |
Bronze | 1:35:00 | 200 gems |
Total | 1,400 gems, 1 Talisman |
Strategy[]
Start off by running down the steps in front of you, then make a left hand turn once you reach the bottom. Don't bother shifting or using the Gravity Slide in this challenge, since the Lunar Style makes Kat move slower when using both techniques. Once you reach the fence after going through the archway, drop down to the ground below; you can use Kat's Wormhole Kick to fall faster compared to free falling.
From here, you can use the Horizontal Rocket Jump to move through Freedom Square quicker, since Kat doesn't gain enough altitude to fly over the checkpoints completely, but the horizontal momentum can cut down on time. Once you cross the park, use the Wormhole Kick to reach the Clock Tower quickly, and then use the Rocket Jump to climb up the exterior of the building, once again, to climb it faster. Once you reach the top, perform a Wormhole Kick towards the bell and land on the platform beneath it to complete the race.
