Overview

Gravity Rush (originally announced under its Japanese working title Gravity Daze) is a video game developed by Japan Studios for the PlayStation Vita. Directed by Keiichiro Toyama, as demoed at E3, the core mechanic of the game is the player's ability to manipulate gravity to facilitate their navigation of the level's in the game. The graphics are cel-shaded, which in Toyama's opinion stand out from western photorealistic trend.

The game was released on physical Vita card, and digital download on the PlayStation Store.

Gameplay

Gravity Rush is an open world game that features gameplay revolving around the aspect of controlling gravity. Using the right analog stick or the accelerometer, the player can shift gravity in any direction they want to fall that way. As players play through Kat's story they unlock new gravity abilities. There is a large emphasize on action, kicking and using other abilities to destroy enemies.

Setting

Gravity Rush takes place in a fantasy world. In this world there are several pillars, and Gravity Rush takes place around one particular pillar called Hekseville. Heksville consists of 4 separate towns, Auldnoir, Pleajeune, Vendecentre and Endestria.
