Xicero is a minor character in Gravity Rush 2. He is the Senate Chancellor of Eto who single-handedly deposed Queen Alua from her rule over one-hundred years ago, betraying Syd in the process, who he later refers to as having been his "one, true friend".

History

Before Gravity Rush 2

When he became convinced that Queen Alua's desire to save the world below Eto from the black ocean would doom it, he pushed her off a narrow walkway and left her dangling--but not before he added that if she had a Guardian, she could have saved herself, and that her lack of a Guardian meant she did not deserve to be queen. Prior to the fall, Syd intervened and tried to help Alua back up, but Xicero stabbed him in the back, causing him to lose his grip, and send Alua falling. However, the Creator Bit intervened and saved them.

Gravity Rush 2

One-hundred years later, Xicero admitted to Alias that he regrets his decision, having seen that Alua's successor, Cai, is evil and vicious. He planned to help Kat escape the castle but was attacked and mortally wounded by Wolp. Not long after, he helped her escape the palace.

Characteristics

Appearance

Xicero is pretty tall, dark-skinned elderly man with a long white moustache and split beard. He is also completely bald. As for his attire, he wears a long white robe, with head and shoulder decoration that seems typical of Eto residents.

Personality

Xicero doesn't get very much screen time before he dies, but from what little screen time he did have, he seemed to have a calm demeanour, particularly towards Queen Alua, though this was most likely out of obligation due to being one of her royal servants. He is shown to be remorseful over his actions a century prior that kicked off the series, and he was willing to make amends for his misdeeds.

A hundred years ago however, he was perfectly willing to turn on his peers when their ideals clash with his own. This is demonstrated by shoving Queen Alua off of a narrow walkway for being a weak leader, and stabbing Syd in the back for trying rescue her. It is not known if he was like this towards anyone else, however.

• His name may be based on the Roman politician Cicero, who was a member of the Roman consul.
• Due to how the passage of time works in-universe, and assuming the Creators aren't considered humans, Xicero would be the oldest character is the series, at 120 years old.
