Adreaux (アドロ Adoro) is an antagonist in Gravity Rush and a minor character in Gravity Rush 2. He is an eccentric scientist and engineer in the employ of D'nelica and the Rebels. He is best known for his invention of the Sea Anemone, an incredibly powerful anti-Nevi robot.

History

Gravity Rush

As soon as Kat returned to Hekseville from Boutoume, Adreaux requested Kat's assistance for an ongoing experiment. He was trying to use probes to gather information regarding the Nevi and sent Kat out to place them.

Later, as D'nelica was making his big announcement, Kat saw Adreaux standing beside him. Aujean told her that he is known as D'nelica's right hand man. He ended up tricking Kat and was actually gathering info about her using the probes in order to capture her.

He was caught up in the self-destruct explosion of the berserk Sea Anemone on D'nelica's airboat but emerged relatively unscathed.

Gravity Rush 2

He was seen at the end of the Gravity Rush 2 mid-post game credits, when it is shown that he perfected the design of the Sea Anemone while working for the Rebels and has the ability to remote control a large number of them that he used to attack the white Nevi that invaded Hekseville as well as Elektricitie.

He was, however, knocked out when Elektricitie used her immense power to obliterate one of the Anemones in a single blast of lightning that he attempted to use to stop her.

Appearance

In the first game, Adreaux is portrayed as your typical scientist; thick goggles with a long white lab coat. In Gravity Rush 2, his appearance remains mostly the same, except for the black collar worn by the Rebels, and some pretty elaborate headgear that covers his ears and mostly obscures his eyes.

Personality

When Kat first meets him, he appears to be a high level worker under pressure from his boss. He seems rather desperate for Kat to lend him some assistance in his research, knowing that she will help anyone who asks for it. However, he was using his stress as a front to hide his true intentions; to use Kat as the subject of said research. He is in reality, somewhat crooked, concocting an equally crooked scheme to take Kat out of the picture when D'nelica's secret weapon is eventually unleashed upon Hekseville.
